Indiana Biomedical Society hosts its 25th annual conference on January 23 at the Sheraton Hotel – City Center in Indianapolis. The success of IBS and its annual conference can be attributed to its stellar leadership throughout the years and its mission “To advance the quality, development and role of Biomedical Technology in the health care institution.”
The conference is specifically designed to meet the continuing education needs and interests of the state’s biomedical community. The annual conference permits HTM professionals the opportunity to “absorb a practical and affordable learning experience as well as professional camaraderie in the field of healthcare technology,” according to an IBS brochure.
The IBS annual conference is open to members and non-members. Health care professinals, including clinical engineers, biomedical engineers, HTM professionals, nurses and other medical staff involved in evaluating, purchasing and maintaining healthcare technology are encouraged to attend.
The annual conference also includes exhibits with vendors from throughout the industry sharing information about their products and services.
Other important highlights of the annual IBS conference include awards, scholarships, election of officers and door prize drawings.
