Sonitor Technologies Inc. will exhibit at the 2017 HIMSS Conference and Exhibition, February 19-23, 2017, in Orlando, Florida, at Booth 623. This annual event brings together over 40,000 global health IT professionals, clinicians and executives.
During the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to experience the accuracy and reliability of Sonitor’s Sense RTLS platform in real-time through live demonstrations. These live demonstrations, powered by Sonitor’s open integration RTLS platform, will showcase use cases such as asset management, patient flow and hand hygiene.
“We are excited about exhibiting at HIMSS17 and the opportunity to provide live demonstrations of the positive impact our unique, ultrasound-based indoor positioning technology can have hospital-wide to so many health care industry leaders, and practitioners,” said Sonitor Technologies Inc. President and CEO Anne Bugge.
Sonitor is also launching SenseClean RTLS Hand Hygiene Technology. This technology integrates seamlessly with GOJO’s SMARTLINK hand hygiene solutions and is designed to provide actionable data to support hand hygiene practices. By combining Sonitor’s proprietary ultrasound technology with low radio frequency (LF) and Sonitor’s SmartTags, Sonitor’s SenseClean Hand Hygiene Technology is designed to capture 100 percent of hand hygiene events as well as accurately track the number of dispenses from each dispensing device. RTLS powered hand hygiene systems are known to track compliance more accurately then direct observance (DO). When interfaced with commercially available RTLS software programs, RTLS can help health care facilities more efficiently chart the path of infection and identify vulnerable and affected patients and health care workers.
“We know that hand washing can be one of the simplest ways to help prevent the transmission of infection,” Bugge said. “We believe our SenseClean Hand Hygiene RTLS Technology can help health care facilities by delivering an accurate, reliable and automated way to monitor and measure compliance.”
Sonitor has developed its accurate and advanced open integration RTLS platform, Sonitor Sense™ for reliable indoor positioning in complex environments. Real-time location systems are used to automatically identify and locate mobile objects or people in real time. Sonitor Sense is designed to efficiently provide industry-leading location accuracy at bay, bed, chair, room, or area level depending on the use case. This fully scalable RTLS can be used for positioning patients, staff and assets in real time, as well as improving workflow, patient flow, and enhancing patient safety and infection control.
