In this session, we will explore the advancements in the technology, learn how those advancements affect daily operations, and discuss the future of ultrasound technology.
The 90 minute webinar will feature Bob Broschart, Director of Technical Services at Axess Ultrasound, LLC.
Webinar video is now online.
Bob obtained a BS in Electrical Engineering Technology and a certificate in Ultrasound Physics and Technology. He has 30 years of experience in medical equipment manufacturing, engineering, service and sales management, and has instructed product classes in ultrasound for OEM’s and ISO’s, both domestically and internationally.
Bob’s presentation will focus on the fact there are approximately 600,000 ultrasound probes in-service in the U.S. alone and less than 25% of those probes are properly tested and/or repaired regularly putting patients at risk. As ultrasound probe technology rapidly evolves, it’s also becoming more complex and costly. Understanding the technology will help you take better care of probes and catch problems early so repairs are minor and not major and so patients are not at risk.
Key learning objectives include:
- How ultrasound technology has and continues to change as well as how these changes affect the support and use of ultrasound probes in every day operations.
- Understanding the clinical differences new technologies provide versus older ultrasound technology and come to understand what challenges arise in servicing the new technologies.Â
- Learn what the future of ultrasound transducer technology holds for end users.Â
