Gateway Biomedical Society will celebrate National Engineers’ Week at the St. Louis Science Center! Check out formula racing cars, local robotics creations, and other exciting hands-on activities and demonstrations from local engineering companies, colleges and organizations.
Gateway Biomedical Society has had a display at this event for over a decade.
Visitors can find out more about biomeds at the booth and the booth usually includes:
• 1-2 surgical camera’s with scope in a squash for visitors to look inside and pick up objects with a grabber;
• SPO2 monitoring of visitors; and
• NIBP testing of visitors.
“This is a fun event,” GBS President Doug Dreps says. “I have taken my family to explore the Science Center, while I work the booth for four hours. We are looking for volunteers to work four hours either day. We do need assistance with set up and take down.”
If anyone can volunteer, they can contact Doug Dreps at Douglas.Dreps@mercy.net. “If you are unable to volunteer, I encourage everyone to bring your family out to enjoy the hands-on displays,” Dreps says.
