The most recent presentation of the TechNation Webinar Wednesday Series drew a huge crowd.
The Conquest Imaging-sponsored webinar “Verifying Image Quality, How to Use an Ultrasound Phantom” also received rave reviews from attendees. In addition, webinar participants were eligible for 1 CE credit from the ACI.
Conquest Imaging Training Director Jim Rickner did an outstanding job of explaining what can sometimes be a complex subject. Rickner, who has over 30 years of experience working on a variety of electronic equipment, is a renowned instructor and sought out speaker in the ultrasound industry. He has taught hundreds of biomedical engineers, BMETs and CBETs.
During the webinar, Rickner reviewed some poor image quality complaints from the field, described and illustrated the purpose of an ultrasound phantom and discussed multiple test descriptions and procedures for using a phantom in evaluating image quality.
The webinar concluded with an insightful Q&A session. Rickner fielded questions from attendees and provided helpful answers. Attendees were also encouraged to email him questions.
Attendees shared their evaluation of the session in a post-webinar survey.
“This is my first Webinar Wednesday, but I will continue to attend them as much as possible when they discuss things that are relevant to my current position and where I want to go in biomed. Thank you for the free education and keep up the good work,” Joe H. shared.
“Another great webinar. Always enjoy participating in these. Good refreshers on familiar topics and great information on topics that are new to me,” Allen G. wrote in his survey.
“I’ve been in the biomed field for over 10 years and I learn something new in every session,” Clifford W. said.
“Webinar Wednesday is a revolutionary idea to aiding HTM’s continued learning and advancing toward providing better patient care from the equipment reliability side,” Daniel T. wrote.
“These webinars are great refreshers for many things that may be outside of the main daily focus of your job,” Jeffrey C. wrote.
“The MD Publishing Webinars are a fantastic way to stay up to date with the latest trends in biomedical technology, and for refreshing your memories on topics you have trained on in the past and could use some brushing up on. The speakers are all industry personnel who are knowledgeable and generous with that knowledge and their time,” Eddie F. shared.
“The Webinar Wednesday series is a must for every HTM professional. I share info from the webinars in my staff meetings and encourage staff to participate,” Salim K. wrote.
HTM professionals in the U.S. are not alone in their praise for TechNation’s Webinar Wednesday series.
“The webinars offered by TechNation, I feel, are essential given our location. Working in Bermuda has its benefits but also its drawbacks. Travelling and training for medical equipment is even more expensive and restrictive, having these webinars are extremely beneficial and that so many topics are covered makes them even more valuable,” Jan K. shared from the sunny Caribbean.
