The recent Webinar Wednesday session “So Your RTLS Is Nearing EOL (End of Life) … What now?” was sponsored by Cognosos. It was eligible for 1 credit from the ACI.
Cognosos Vice President of Healthcare Sales Bill Haughton discussed options when a HTM department’s RTLS needs to be replaced. In the educational webinar, he reviewed the pros and cons of the various RTLS technologies available on the market today. He examined the right questions to ask vendors being considered and offered a list of the red flags to look out for when deciding.

Attendees were able to gain additional insights during an informative question-and-answer session with the presenter. One attendee asked about what the timeframe looks like. Attendees provided feedback via a survey that included the question, “Why did you attend today’s webinar?”
“To be aware of a company out there that offers solutions to biomedical programs,” said Steven Johnson, a senior biomedical technician at Samaritan Hospital.
“I was very interested in the real-life application of this technology,” Hospital Angeles Chief Biomedical Engineer Cesar Gonzalez Perez said.
“We have devices nearing EOL,” Wauwatosa Outpatient Center Biomedical Technician 2 Bob Michalek said.
“Obtain CEUs and to get a different view of the subject,” Hillcrest Director Michael Bramblett said.
