
The North Carolina Biomedical Association (NCBA) has announced CompTIA A+® Training via New Horizons Computer Learning Centers from April 29 to May 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The training will be offered at WakeMed Cary Hospital located at 1900 Kildaire Farm Road in Cary, North Carolina.
The course is described as follows: “The growth of networked medical devices and integrated systems is undisputed. HTM professionals must continue to gain the knowledge required to support these systems. The NCBA is pleased to make available an exciting opportunity for IT focused training. In this course, you will acquire the essential skills and information you will need to install, configure, optimize, troubleshoot, repair, upgrade and perform preventive maintenance on PCs, digital devices and operating systems.”
Topics include material covered on exams 901 & 902 plus hardware fundamentals, managing system components, supporting display devices, installing and configuring peripheral components, customized client environments, supporting printers and multifunction devices, networking technologies, installing and configuring networking capabilities, supporting mobile digital devices, operating system fundamentals, installing and configuring Microsoft Windows, working with other operating systems, networking and security fundamentals, security threats, vulnerabilities, and controls, implementing security controls, troubleshooting system-wide issues and safety and operational procedures.
