Over the last few years, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) have been working to pass legislation in Congress that prohibits independent service providers (ISOs) and Healthcare Delivery Organizations (HDOs) from providing service on equipment citing less safe or lower-quality care on medical equipment.
In response, the Medical Device Servicing Collaborative Community (MDSCC) was formed and has been actively meeting since January 2019 to combat this legislation.
