Jose de la Barra, MS, MBA, CHTM, shared on LinkedIn that he has started a new role as executive director of clinical engineering with Johns Hopkins Health System.
“This opportunity represents an exciting next chapter; one that allows me to contribute at a broader, system-wide level in advancing clinical engineering strategy, operational excellence, and ultimately, patient care across a world-class organization,” he wrote on LinkedIn. “At the same time, this transition comes with deep reflection and gratitude. My time with the University of Maryland Medical System has been incredibly meaningful. Serving as Director of Clinical Engineering across Downtown, Midtown, and UMROI has been both a privilege and a defining period in my career. Together, we strengthened operations, advanced key initiatives, and built a culture grounded in accountability, collaboration and service. Most importantly, I had the opportunity to work alongside an exceptional group of professionals – teams who show up every day committed to delivering safe, reliable care for our patients. I am truly grateful for the relationships, partnerships, and friendships built along the way. While I am excited about what lies ahead, I will always carry pride in what we accomplished together at UMMS.”
“To my colleagues, mentors, and friends – thank you for your trust, support, and shared commitment to excellence. Looking forward to this next chapter and the impact we will continue to make,” he wrote.
