AAMI is announcing a NEW CERTIFICATION to empower HTM students and emerging professionals, according to an email. The new certification is Certified Associate in Biomedical Technology (CABT).
The email states that applications are due August 21 for the September (inaugural) testing window.
“As a Certified Associate in Biomedical Technology (CABT), you will demonstrate you meet a minimum knowledge competency for any employer looking to hire entry-level HTM professionals to support ensuring a safe and reliable health care environment. As the disruption from the COVID-19 pandemic continues, make sure you are prepared for every opportunity by certifying your readiness for and commitment to the industry,” the email reads.
Entry-level HTM professionals already working in the field may obtain a CABT certification with no minimum years of work experience required to demonstrate mastery of basic competencies, a commitment to professional development and position one’s self for accelerated career advancement.
For current HTM students in BMET programs, the CABT certification is a way to graduate and enter the field empowered with a respected credential, bolster one’s resume to help secure an opportunity in the field, especially at a time when access to in-person internship opportunities may be compromised.
ACI Certification makes an individual more valuable as an employee and could increase one’s earning potential. Take the steps today to advance professionally within the healthcare technology management (HTM) field with these unique, industry-recognized credentials.
