Acertara Acoustic Laboratories, the world’s only independent ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accredited medical ultrasound acoustic measurement and testing laboratory, has announced that the scope of its accreditation has recently been audited and expanded to include calibration of the FirstCall probe testing system as well as acoustic hydrophone calibration.
Additionally, Acertara announced that it will continue to support all FirstCall units including FC2000 version 1.2 through the aPerio model with calibration and repair services; for the mainframe as well as all probe adaptors.
“Acertara is now the only company in the world that is ISO17025:2005 accredited to calibrate the FirstCall 2000 and FirstCall aPerio probe testing devices,” said G. Wayne Moore, President and CEO of Acertara. “This expanded scope further underscores our quality and support commitment to our valued customers. When we recently learned that the current manufacturer of the FirstCall device was no longer supporting the FC2000 version 1.2, we wanted to make sure those customers had a resource that could provide a full-range of support services including repair and calibration.”
“Our engineering team first developed FirstCall 14 years ago while at Sonora Medical Systems, and we want to make sure that every customer that invested in this technology is taken care of,” he added. “By supporting the earlier versions of FirstCall, we believe that users will have more time to transition to newer probe testing technologies as their budgets and needs require. Acertara will also provide a program for customers to trade-in their earlier versions of FirstCall on our Aureon and Active-Z probe testing devices.”
