Allina Health has awarded PartsSource a three-year contract to manage and optimize its clinical engineering procurement business. PartsSource’s enterprise procurement program automates sourcing and purchasing activities, allowing Allina Health to adopt an enterprise-level approach. The technology-enabled suite of solutions integrates into Allina’s processes and systems, resulting in cost savings on parts, operational efficiencies across the enterprise and critical visibility into historical and benchmark data.
Allina will leverage PartsSource’s $80 million of purchasing power using a multi-modality, multi-OEM and multi-condition online catalog as a single point of access to 2.5 million parts sourced from 1,000 OEMs and 6,000 carefully vetted secondary suppliers.
“Allina has always been an innovator with technology and solution adoption,” said Michael Kortan, senior vice president of sales and marketing at PartsSource. “We are delighted to partner with them to decrease costs, improve efficiencies while maintaining the highest quality of clinical and financial outcomes.”
“We chose PartsSource to manage our procurement services because they best answered our need to take costs out of our system without compromising our commitment to high-quality care,” noted Nadia Ayoubzadeh, director of clinical engineering services at Allina Health. “We are optimistic that their solutions suite will let us work more efficiently and effectively across the enterprise. Our goal is to allow our clinical engineers to focus exclusively on diagnosing and repairing equipment rather than sourcing parts, which ultimately translates to reduced costs, less equipment downtime and more responsive patient care.”
