Connexall has announced that it was recognized as the ‘Top Performer’ as determined by overall performance score in a recent study conducted by KLAS of Alarm Management vendors and solutions.
According to KLAS: “Among the alarm management vendors, Connexall shines as a market leader both in number of customers who are incorporating data sources beyond nurse call and in terms of overall performance. As a point of reference, providers rates Connexall nearly 91 on a 100 point scale, which places Connexall in the top 4 percent of all IT products KLAS monitors.”
The report further states that, “providers regard the product highly and laud Connexall’s partnership and willingness to share best practices and get key vendor decision makers involved.” With regard to sharing best practices, one customer stated, “I have a monthly call with Connexall. We discuss the things that are going on. They have helped me with education processes and so on. They are really responsive.”
In the area of partnership with providers, quoting a director of biomed, “We were looking to create a partnership, and Connexall has been very much the partner we needed. They have worked with us, our timeframes, our budgets and everything like that. They continue to help us. We will definitely be recommending them in the future.”
As a key component of the Joint Commission’s National Patient Safety Goal concentrating on reducing alarm fatigue within hospitals, facilities are required to create an alarm management plan and implement by January 2016. Given the expanding number, and heterogeneous nature of clinical alarms, the great majority of hospitals will need to look to industry leaders to assist in meeting this challenge.
Being device-agnostic and vendor-neutral, is one distinguishing factor about Connexall that was noted in the report. According to KLAS, Connexall “received high praise for their ability to incorporate alarms/information from many sources.” This fact assures providers that Connexall is unique among the vendors in its ability to provide hospitals with the industry’s most comprehensive alarm management solution available to achieve the Joint Commission mandates.
One customer stated, “It is unbelievable the number of integration points that were already supported [by Connexall when we did our RFP] and how much that number has grown over the last few years.”
