The Healthcare Technology Management Association of the Mid-West’s 2014 Symposium and Vendor Exhibition was one of the best ever for the organization with 27 exhibitor booths and more than 50 registered attendees.
Chris C. Coleman, CBET, who serves as the president of HTMA-MW, said the group had to turn away a few companies because the exhibit hall space was sold out. He said the Crowne Plaza was a great “upscale” venue but that the group will have to find a larger meeting space in 2015.
The symposium also featured educational sessions and a keynote address on the interconnectivity between IT and Biomed departments, Coleman said.
Coleman said Tim Gee with Medical Connectivity Consulting spurred great conversations about the topic of interconnectivity by attendees and exhibitors alike during the symposium.
The one-day event ended with the presentation of prizes.
“We gave away over 20 door prizes, including a tablet and an AAMI membership. Then, the vendors had their own drawings on top of that,” Coleman said.
Coleman said more information about HTMA-MW is available online.
