Company Offers Free Samples

Star Tech International is helping healthcare facilities strengthen infection control efforts with its patented 20’s Medical Series Safety Straps – a cord, cable, and tubing management solution designed specifically for medical environments. The company says its medical-grade, latex-free rubber straps provide a cleaner alternative to traditional hook-and-loop fasteners, which can harbor pathogens and complicate cleaning protocols.
According to Star Tech, more than 50,000 hook-and-loop straps have already been replaced on infusion pump systems in healthcare facilities, including deployments at organizations such as Henry Ford Health System, Beth Israel, and St. Joseph Mercy. The smooth-surface design of the 20’s Medical Series helps eliminate areas where contaminants can accumulate, supporting infection prevention initiatives across patient care environments.
Available in Models 620, 720, 920, and 1220, the straps are engineered to accommodate a wide range of medical cords, cables and vinyl tubing. The products are manufactured from a proprietary EPDM Class M rubber blend and are compatible with common hospital cleaning agents, including bleach-based disinfectants, hydrogen peroxide solutions, alcohols and quaternary ammonium cleaners. The straps are also autoclave compatible and designed for a service life of up to four years with a minimum of 3,000 connect/disconnect cycles.
Star Tech reports that all straps comply with RoHS 3, REACH 235, Conflict-Free, and Proposition 65 requirements, with manufacturing conducted in ISO/IATF-certified facilities. The company is currently offering free product samples to healthcare organizations interested in evaluating the technology for their infection control and equipment management programs.
