This 45-minute presentation will educate Biomeds/Clinical Engineers on the importance of performing NFPA 99 electrical safety checks on medical devices across modalities. Attendees will receive an introduction to concepts of NFPA 99 and how to apply these concepts to medical devices. The presenter will use Ultrasound as an example of completing a NFPA 99 Electrical Safety test.
Our presenter is Jim Rickner, the Training Director for Conquest Imaging. He has over 20 years of experience working on variety of electronic equipment. His experience includes repairing and operating flight simulators, specialty aircraft avionics, destructive material testing instruments and a variety of ultrasound systems. He has worked for Conquest Imaging over nine years and was the Senior Field Service Engineer prior to becoming the Training Director.
