The Michigan Society of Clinical Engineering is hosting a golf outing Saturday, July 25. The event is set to begin at 9 a.m. at Hartland Glen Golf Course (12400 Highland Rd, Hartland, MI 48353). There is a $55 registration fee.
Registration includes 18 holes of scramble format golf with a power cart and lunch at the turn.
The scramble format is a great way for beginners to become involved with the game of golf. It consists of four-person teams in a best ball scenario where all four players hit their tee shot, decide which of the four is the best shot and all four players hit the team’s second shot from there. This continues until the ball is holed out or the score is at double par for each hole. If a team has less than four players, they will still play four shots with the players rotating who takes the extra shot.
Those interested are invited to RSVP HERE. Anyone who has not sent an RSVP by July 22 may not have a spot in the outing. Cash or credit cards only will be accepted the day of the event.
Individuals do not need a full foursome to participate; just sign up and you will be placed on a team. Please indicate if you will need rental clubs; they are available from the course in limited numbers.
Golfers should arrive for sign in by 8 a.m. so there is time to place individual golfers on a team.
Also, if you are aware of anyone or any vendor who would be willing to help sponsor prizes for this outing, please have them contact Tom Brown at thomasbrownmsce@gmail.com.
