Ted Lucidi, Clinical and Technical Specialist, Innovatus Imaging
Knowledge of ultrasound system modes, functions, and terminology is a huge part of providing proper ultrasound system service. Yet, this information is not shared during OEM and ISO service training sessions. Sonographers use terms such as “grainy,” “contrasty,” “washed out,” “noisy” and others. How do we as service professionals translate sonographer-ese into something technical? When looking at the user interface of an ultrasound system, what do all those knobs, dials, levers and menus mean and how do they affect the image? This class will teach the soft skills to complement the hard technical skills possessed by ultrasound service personnel. It will also provide a solid base of knowledge for those entering the field.
