The 2020 HTMA-SC Annual Meeting is scheduled to be held on May 1 beginning at 7:30 a.m. EDT in the SCHA Yates Conference Center located at 1000 Center Point Road in Columbia, South Carolina.
“The HTMA-SC board is very excited about the upcoming annual conference. We have a lot of exciting things to announce,” an email about the meeting states. “First, representatives from GE, Philips, Avante, Northfield, Trimedex, Medtronic, Pronk, Althea and College of Biomedical Technology will be there. They’ll be hosting a lot of classes.”
“We’ve organized the classes to give you the best chance of getting to the classes you want to see. But if there is some overlap, bring a friend to take notes for you,” the email continues. “Second, we are announcing that we have four $500 scholarships. These scholarships cover the costs of achieving your CBET certification. They are only available to those who attend the conference. They are available on a first-come, first-serve basis for any attendees of the annual conference who successfully take the test and achieve their CBET certification between May 1st and the next annual conference (always the first Friday in May).”
Breakfast and lunch is being provided free-of-charge at the annual meeting by generous sponsors.
“This will be the best opportunity for you to mingle with others in your profession this year. You may learn of great opportunities for parts and supplies. And you may even pick up the knowledge to save your hospital thousands of dollars in vendor PMs and CM parts,” the email states.
