Earlier this year, amid the COVID-19 pandemic MD Publishing replaced the spring MD Expo with three smaller HTM Mixers. The first HTM Mixer was a tremendous success in Denver. The next HTM Mixer is slated for Milwaukee on October 1-2.
The third HTM Mixer was planned for California. However, California’s COVID-19 restrictions make it impossible to hold a large event in The Golden State. The mixer will now be held in Nashville.
“First, we hope everyone is doing well and remaining safe and healthy during this difficult and trying time. We understand that the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic poses unique challenges for everyone,” an email from MD Publishing President John Krieg states. “That being said, we have an announcement regarding our December HTM Mixer. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are being forced to relocate the December event. California has set restrictions on groups larger than 10 people, and we do not expect this restriction to be lifted in the foreseeable future.”
“We have decided to relocate the event to Nashville, Tennessee, with the exact same dates and schedule,” the email continues.
The HTM Mixer Nashville will be held December 9-10 at the Omni Nashville.
Krieg pointed out that Nashville is an excellent choice for the HTM Mixer because of it’s business-friendly climate for meetings and gatherings, its abundance of local/regional hospitals, cost-effective room rates and “the Omni’s commitment to providing the latest in cutting-edge safety measures for a safe and clean meeting.”
“As always, MD Expo is constantly looking at all pertinent information and making decisions that we think are in the best interest of all exhibitors and attendees, so we can assist in some way to helping the HTM industry get back on its feet,” Krieg added. “Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you all at an upcoming event!”
