The Clinical Engineers Association of Illinois (CEAI) will host its annual symposium May 11 & 12, at a new venue – the Westin O’Hare in Rosemont, Illinois. The two-day event will bring together clinical engineers, biomedical technicians, healthcare technology management (HTM) leaders, consultants, and students for education, networking, and collaboration focused on advancing patient safety and healthcare technology performance.
The 2026 CEAI Symposium will feature a full vendor exhibit hall both days, technical and leadership sessions led by industry experts, and keynote presentations addressing emerging trends and challenges in healthcare technology management. Parking validation will be available for annual CEAI members.
A highlight of this year’s program is the strong focus on artificial intelligence and leadership development within HTM. Sessions will explore the use of artificial intelligence for troubleshooting and medical equipment replacement planning, along with technical training on defibrillators, temperature monitoring, and fetal monitoring systems. Leadership-focused sessions will address topics such as building stronger teams, achieving results without formal authority, and effective storytelling in professional settings.
Keynote presentations will include speakers from the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) and Project C.U.R.E., offering insights into industry initiatives and global healthcare technology efforts. Attendees will also have opportunities to connect with peers and vendors during dedicated exhibit hall hours and a networking social event scheduled for the evening of Monday, May 11, at Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar in Rosemont.
CEAI encourages professionals at every stage of their careers to participate. Founded in 2006, the organization is dedicated to promoting cooperation, education, and the exchange of technical knowledge among healthcare technology professionals. Its mission is to support better patient care through reliable maintenance, operation, and application of clinical equipment.
Membership in CEAI provides access to the full conference and ongoing professional development opportunities throughout the year. Organizers note that conference information will be updated regularly as additional details and speakers are confirmed.
Vendor booth reservations and attendee registration are currently available, and early registration is encouraged due to anticipated strong attendance.
