CMIA announced that it is expanding some chapter meetings to virtual meetings and have partnered with AAMI to create a discussion thread on best practices related to COVID-19 which is available to anyone regardless of AAMI membership. More details below.
CMIA also wants to highlight those making a difference.
“Don’t forget to send your success stories to CMIA! We would love to feature you or your team on the CMIA website and the impact you are making during this challenging time, so share any inspiration stories or pictures with us,” the mail states.
CMIA Inland Empire Plans Virtual Meeting Open to All
The Inland Empire Chapter will be hosting a virtual discussion. The open panel discussion is designed to allow HTM colleagues a place for sharing ideas, lessons learned and supporting each other through difficult times. The panel will have representatives from Ground Zero areas including New York, Louisiana, California and Washington.
The meeting is available for the first 100 users online and unlimited phone dial in listeners.

The email also shared information about spmething AAMI is doing to support HTM professionals.
AAMI created a COVID-19 thread of AAMI Connect that is open to all members of the HTM field. This forum is available to share best practices of what they are doing regarding updates from CDC, Fema, OEM Mfgs and the general state of affairs. Many CMIA members have shared their best practices.

In order to see which discussion groups you are part of, you will need to log in. Your user name will be whatever email address you receive AAMI emails at. If you do not know your password, they can just reset it. You do not need to be an AAMI member to have an AAMI account. Once they login, they can click on the “Communities” drop down in the green header and then select “My Communities.” If you are not a member of the HTM AAMI Connect group, email Mary Jane Thomas at mthomas@aami.org to be added to the group to share and discuss COVID-19 information and best practices.
