Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner and Senator Paul Schimpf took time to visit the MAC Medical facility in Millstadt, Illinois on Friday, March 23. They met with members of the MAC Medical executive management, including owners Dennis and Stacey Cooper. They also toured the facility.
Rauner and Schimpf got a behind-the-scenes look at how quality stainless steel medical equipment is built and tested. The visit also gave them a chance to listen and learn about the growing challenges of operating a business in Illinois. After the tour, Gov. Rauner addressed the MAC Medical staff saying, “Business gets built through the hard work of men and women like you all. The workforce of Illinois is the greatest and proudest workforce in the world.”
He also said, “American prosperity is built by entrepreneurs who take risks, and we have two them here – the Coopers.”
