Developing an imaging service program within a hospital brings many advantages including financial savings and increased equipment uptime, but it can also be an intimidating and difficult endeavor. If done without the proper forethought and research, there can be negative financial results or regulatory fallout. In this presentation, I will discuss the actions we took at my hospital to build up our imaging service program and some potential issues we identified along the way. This will be a collaborative presentation with room for any examples or ideas from the audience.
