Employers of Biomedical Engineering Technologists are invited to join Howard Community College’s (HCC) apprenticeship team in a virtual networking event to learn about the college’s Biomedical Engineering Technology (BMET) Apprenticeship program. This event includes a presentation that will provide an overview of the program and how it can benefit businesses. Additionally, a representative from the Maryland Department of Labor will be present to help answer questions attendees may have regarding incentives and tax benefits.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, August 12 at 9 a.m. ET. It is a virtual information session on the college’s new BMET apprenticeship program. Employers are invited to join the HCC apprenticeship staff, BMET faculty and representatives from the Maryland Department of Labor to learn about how this apprenticeship program can provide your organization with access to a pool of new BMET employees. Participating employers have the ability to train new BMET professionals early in their careers while they are receiving related instruction through HCC’s BMET degree program. Your organization may also qualify for financial incentives from the state of Maryland should you hire an apprentice.
The event will take place via Zoom, HCC’s video conferencing platform. Please RSVP to this event using the registration feature, and you will receive a free ticket with a link to the virtual event.
