Signature Expos, Regional Mixers Planned
“A pivot is a change in strategy without a change in vision,” author Eric Ries write in his book “The Lean Startup.”
“2020 was a year like none other,” might be the understatement of the generation. In addition to HTM heroes battling on the frontlines every day, medical equipment providers had enormous challenges as well. How to stay in front of prospects and customers when they had basically no access to hospitals and centers was an issue. Face-to-face meetings had become almost an impossibility.
MD Publishing’s “pivot” in 2020 was successfully creating HTM Mixers.
“The MD Expo team understands that the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic poses unique challenges for everyone and we are committed in 2021 to doing our part in continuing to restore conferences to the HTM community,” MD Publishing President and Founder John Krieg explains.
What are HTM Mixers? Think of them as MD Expo 2.0 – a slightly modified, smaller, shorter-duration, less-crowded and safer-environment event that still provide valuable continuing education, networking and vendor engagement opportunities.
“With the huge success of HTM Mixers last year, we are proud and excited to announce HTM Mixers are back in 2021 along with the annual Imaging Conference and Expo (ICE) and the biannual MD Expo,” Krieg adds.
MD EXPO DALLAS
The first event of 2021 is MD Expo Dallas scheduled for April 16-17 at the Renaissance Dallas Addison Hotel. MD Expo strives to provide HTM professionals with a unique, intimate and rewarding conference second to none. Clinical engineers, biomedical technicians, directors and managers, procurement/asset managers and others responsible for medical technology will gather in a one-of-a-kind safe and welcoming environment to network with peers as well as learn the latest technologies and advances in HTM. Find out what everyone is talking about at MDExpoShow.com.
ICE 2021
The 2021 ICE Conference will now be held May 11-12, 2021 at the Westin Ft. Lauderdale Beach Resort. The new ICE 2021 dates are designed to allow for increased participation from attendees and imaging vendors.
“The dates were pushed back 90 days to allow more attendees to be able to travel due to COVID-related restrictions. Imaging directors and service professional have indicated they are eager to register for ICE 2021, but cannot travel at the current time, giving them 90 more days should ease up their travel issues,” Krieg explains.
“We do not want to compromise the integrity of the event, so we felt it was best to postpone rather than hold the event without the attendance vendors would expect,” the email adds.
The conference will keep the same schedule, exhibit space, speakers, class times and social events. Everything will simply transfer from February to May. ICE continues to be the only conference to combine leaders in imaging management with imaging engineers, providing an exclusive and unique community of key decision makers and influential imaging professionals. ICE is the perfect resource to grow and prosper, personally and professionally.
