The North Carolina Biomedical Association (NCBA) received $1,170 in donations for its Hurricane Helene Relief Fund and the NCBA is kicking in $5,000 from its general fund for a donation of $6,170 to Grindstone Ministries.
Grindstone Ministries is an Oklahoma-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Grindstone was founded in 2019 to provide disaster relief and construction services to those most affected by devastating storms. To that end, Grindstone has deployed more than 40 times in the last five years. Whether it’s tornados, hurricanes or flooding, the group aims to help those affected most when disasters happen.
“Our disaster relief missions are mainly focused on the 10 states in the middle and southern United States. Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky and Tennessee,” according to the organization’s website.
“Grindstone also blesses other ministries and like-minded organizations with labor, materials, and equipment when the Father provides the opportunity. With the Father’s guidance, Grindstone Ministries has grown from an all-volunteer organization to include two full-time staff to better facilitate ongoing and future projects as well as to coordinate and communicate with the blessing that is our army of volunteers,” the website adds.
