Barrett Franklin, MS, MBA, FACHE, CCE, recently shared that he is starting a new position as executive director at U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
“I’ve put in the work to get here, now I’m excited to put in the hard work to build the future now that I’m here!” he wrote on LinkedIn. “I would be out of place if I didn’t thank my family, mentors, peers and friends for all the support in taking this next step. Without my team, I wouldn’t be here.”
The Veterans Health Administration is America’s largest integrated healthcare system, providing care at 1,380 health care facilities, including 170 medical centers and 1,193 outpatient sites of care of varying complexity (VHA outpatient clinics), serving 9.1 million enrolled Veterans each year.
