Hello all. Hope all are doing well. For those of us who are unable to work from home, I want to share supplemental COVID-19 precautions we’re taking. The main objective is to minimize exposure to personnel and decrease traffic in and out of the shop.
- First order of business upon arriving at work: wash hands, put on gloves, and wipe down workspace (tools, telephone, cell phone, keyboard, exposed surfaces, etc.).
- Staff are required to put on an outer garment over the uniform upon leaving the shop (white gown, scrub jacket, scrubs, etc.). Also wear gloves and eyeglasses/goggles.
- Access to the shop will be limited to ClinTech personnel. Even EVS will not be permitted to enter; we can clean and empty our own trash.
- We established a wipe down / sanitizing station at the entrance of shop. All will be required to wipe down any piece of equipment, tools, carts, etc. prior to entering.
- Minimize the number of carts, tools, equipment travelling in and out of the shop.
- Upon entering the shop, all will be required to wash their hands at least 20 seconds.
- Keep hands and clothing clean! Avoid touching surfaces, leaning against walls, or using fingers or hands to push elevator buttons (use a tool that can be wiped down).
Additional helpful tips:
- Stay healthy! Drink plenty of water, take vitamin C, and get some sun / fresh air during breaks. Wash hands as often as possible.
- Staff are encouraged to change clothing prior to entering their home. Be an advocate for each other’s well-being. If one falls, we all fall!
