This presentation will provide the history and current state of tabletop steam sterilization with focus on Midmark UltraClave®, as well as important information on the operation, repair, and maintenance of some of the most common sterilizers. Troubleshooting tips, repair techniques and preventative maintenance will be a focal point of the presentation. In addition, a comparison between tabletop sterilizers and bulk sterilizers will be a part of the discussion. Power Point slides and video clips will be used to demonstrate cycle steps and their relationship to individual systems. Course materials will be distributed to attendees.
