Apparently, marinating meat in beer prior to grilling at over 300 degrees reduces the carcinogens that are released by the grilling. The dark beers are the best for the marinade.
I have two questions:
1. Should you drink the beer after marinating? (Probably not)
2. Why doesn’t drinking lots of beer while eating the steak work just as well?
